Slipcovered Shabby Chic sofas, heaped with hand-sewn pillows, flank this living room's fireplace. The leathered armchair is by Jean de Merry. A custom-made antler table is a nice touch, playing up the lodge-like interior. The walls are Benjamin Moore's Collingwood, a grayish-white hue, providing a softer look that a bright white. Adding a few choice color choices, like the blue plaid throw pillows gives the space a strong sense of color and pattern.
This upstate New York home's living-dining area is furnished with a far-flung mix: Indonesian rush-back loungers, tin sconces from Mexico, and a Persian kilim rug. The farm table and its attendant cane-seat chairs, however, are locally sourced antiques.
