Photo Gallery: Editors' Favourite Winter Paint Colours - Part 2

Paint Pick: Babouche

A cheerful yellow for short winter days.

Style editor Stacey Smithers loves this sunny hue for a bit of brightness come winter. Use Farrow & Ball's Babouche in a powder room or small entryway, then switch it up if it's too cheerful one day.

Paint Pick: Foretell

A timeless soft blue hue.

Assistant style editor Reiko Caron thinks Pittsburgh Paints' Foretell would look great in a kitchen. "Warm up the suede-looking greyish-blue tones with touches of gold and wood. This blue reminds me of serene winter skies." The Brooklyn penthouse of interior designer Athena Calderone from Harper's Bazaar (left) hits the mark with gold-lined pendants and wood stools.

Paint Pick: Flamboyant

A warm shade of purple.

"I love the soft plum colour Flamboyant by Para Paints," explains executive editor Alice Lawlor. "I used a similar shade in my ensuite bathroom. I was worried about going with such a strong colour, but it really brings warmth and character to a space that would otherwise be dominated by white subway tile and grey marble accents."

Paint Pick: Chappell Green

An earthy hue that will remind you of spring.

Cure the winter blahs with a few coats of this muted Chappell Green from Farrow & Ball. "I would love to paint a bedroom accent wall in this calming shade of green," says H&H.com's associate web editor Gwen McAuley. "Every morning, while it's still dark, you'll be reminded of tulip stems and melting river water."
