"This place always had a very laid-back family-friendly feel, even before the kids were born," Terri says. Now it's important to the couple that their kids explore and play all over the house, without boundaries.
The children tackle art projects at an Ikea table in the kitchen. Terri and husband Delon splurged on the room's custom cabinetry, Calacatta marble counters, and Viking appliances.
Sweet and Simple Bedroom
In the master bedroom, pillows and a throw—all from Aero—bring color to a neutral West Elm headboard. Designer Thomas O'Brien designed the silver-leaf lamp for Visual Comforts and named it after Terri.
Lovely and Liveable
The family dog Binnie hangs out on a flea-market wingback chair that Terri reupholstered in Ralph Lauren fabric. She found the late-1800s mirror—which enhances the living room's light—at an antiques store in Michigan. A Pyrex vessel from Aero holds part of Delon's vintage medicine-ball collection.
Bright Idea: A cast-off iron base becomes a functional table with the simple addition of a travertine tile.
